Southern Leyte checking reported E. coli contamination

The local government of Southern Leyte is looking into towns that have recorded cases of E. coli contamination.

In the Laging Handa briefing today (Jan. 24), Southern Leyte Gov. Damian Mercado said their provincial health officer is checking the situation.

“Pinapapuntahan na namin, pinapa-check kung gaano kalaki o ano iyong problema ng E. coli. But until now, kasi last week nalaman namin… wala pa akong na-receive na report. But sabi nila, report sa akin ng doktor ko, mga ten lang, ten municipalities ang sabing may [contamination],” he said.
