Presumptive president Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr. on Wednesday, May 25, appointed lawyer and vlogger Rose Beatrix “Trixie” Cruz-Angeles as the next secretary of the Presidential Communications Operations Office (PCOO).

In a press statement, incoming Executive Secretary Atty. Vic Rodriguez said Cruz-Angeles accepted the nomination as Press Secretary which makes her the new chief of the PCOO.

“I am grateful for the opportunity I am given to take part in the administration of President Bongbong Marcos as his Press Secretary. It is with humility that I accept the nomination and assume the responsibility of running the affairs of the PCOO,” Cruz-Angeles said.

Meanwhile, current PCOO Secretary Martin Andanar said Cruz-Angeles “is no stranger” to PCOO as she served the department in the early years of the Duterte administration.

Angeles is a radio host and a lawyer. She will assume the post of Andanar on July 1. – gb
