Filipino passport holders are now entitled to enter Taiwan after the country is set to resume its visa-free program on Sept. 29.
Taiwan’s Bureau of Consular Affairs announced on Thursday, Sept. 22, that Filipino nationals along with nationals from 10 other countries can enter their country.
Visitors from the Philippines, Thailand, and Brunei can stay visa-free for up to 14 days.
Taiwan is also opening its borders to Chile, Israel, Japan, Republic of Korea, Nicaragua, Dominican Republic, Singapore, and Malaysia.
Meanwhile, visitors from Chile, Israel, Japan, Republic of Korea, and Nicaragua can stay for up to 90 days, while nationals from Dominican Republic, Singapore. and Malaysia have a duration of stay up to 30 days.
All travelers are still required to undergo health protocols and abide by the rules and regulations mandated in their country. – gb
