‘For Matt’: Adamson students don black clothes, attend mass to mourn passing of schoolmate

Students from Adamson University (Adu) donned black clothes and attended a mass for John Matthew Salilig, an alleged victim of hazing.

Salilig, 24, was a petroleum engineering student of the university.

He was found dead in Imus City, Cavite on Tuesday, Feb. 28, 10 days after he was reported missing.

A mass for Salilig was held at the Saint Therese Chapel in Adamson, which was also attended by his schoolmates. 

Meanwhile, members of the Adamson Lady Eagles wore black armbands during their fight against National University Lady Bulldogs at the University Athletic Association of the Philippines on Wednesday.

Filipino senators also condemned the killing of Salilig. -ag
