The state weather bureau said several portions of Luzon will experience cloudy skies and rain showers on Wednesday, June 14, due to the southwest monsoon (habagat) and localized thunderstorms.

In its 4:00 a.m. weather bulletin, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) said monsoon rains will prevail over Ilocos Region, Batanes, and Babuyan Islands.

Cloudy skies with scattered rain showers and thunderstorms due to habagat are also expected over the Cordillera Administrative Region, Zambales, and Bataan.

Metro Manila and the rest of the country will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms due to habagat and localized thunderstorms.

Portions of Visayas and Mindanao may also experience rain showers.

PAGASA weather forecaster Patrick Del Mundo said no low pressure area was monitored within the Philippine area of responsibility.
