Most of Luzon will continue to experience cloudy skies with rains due to the shear line and northeast monsoon or “amihan” in the next 24 hours, the weather bureau said Sunday.

In its 4:00 a.m. bulletin, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) said Northern Luzon, particularly Kalinga Apayao and Cagayan Valley will have cloudy skies with rains due to the “amihan”.

The northeast monsoon will also bring cloudy skies with light rains over Ilocos Region and the rest of Cordillera Administrative Region.

Cloudy skies with scattered rain showers and thunderstorms will be experienced over Metro Manila, Camarines Norte, Central Luzon and Calabarzon due to the shear line, a weather system formed when cold and warm winds converge.

Under these conditions, PAGASA said flooding and rain-induced landslides are possible, especially in areas that are highly susceptible to these hazards.

Moderate to strong winds heading northeast to east and moderate to rough seas will be experienced over Northern Luzon.

The rest of the country will have light to moderate winds blowing northeast to east with slight to moderate waters.

The temperature will range between 24.8 °C and 27.1 °C.
