At least five out of 10 Filipinos are satisfied with the performance of President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr., based on the latest survey of the Social Weather Stations (SWS) in the second quarter of 2024.

In the survey results released Thursday, SWS reported that 55% of adult Filipinos said they are satisfied with the President’s performance, while 28% were dissatisfied and 15% remained undecided.

This corresponded to a net satisfaction rating of “moderate” +27 in June 2024.

“This is a 7-point increase from the moderate +20 in March 2024, following a decline from the good +47 in December 2023,” the pollster noted.

Marcos’ net satisfaction rating also improved significantly in Mindanao from “poor” -19 to “neutral” +5, as well as in the Visayas—from “neutral” +9 to “moderate” +26. His net satisfaction rating remained the highest in Balance Luzon at a “good” +38, followed by Metro Manila at a “good” +30.

Meanwhile, at least 48% of the respondents believed that only a few of the President’s promises can be fulfilled, while some 23% expect almost none or none, 17% expect most, and 9% expect all or nearly all.

“The June 2024 percentage of 27% expecting all or most (% all or nearly all and % most, correctly rounded) of Pres. Marcos’ promises to be fulfilled was up by five points from 22% (5% all or nearly all, 18% most, correctly round) in March 2024,” SWS said.

The survey was conducted from June 23 to July 1, 2024 through face-to-face interviews with 1,500 adults aged 18 and above nationwide. – iro
