Midway through his term, President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. retained majority support from Filipinos amid “political turbulence” in some regions of the country, according to the results of the April 2025 Tugon ng Masa survey by OCTA Research.

Conducted from April 2–5, 2025, the survey showed that 60% of respondents continue to trust the President, while 59% remain satisfied with his performance.

Despite a decline in his trust rating from last quarter, Marcos received majority support across many regions. Notably the President obtained “historic highs” in the Ilocos Region (92%), Cordillera Administrative Region (87%), and Cagayan Valley (83%).

“The dip in Mindanao, while noteworthy, is easily understood within the context of political realignment and traditional loyalties in the region,” the pollster said in a statement.

Among socioeconomic classes, OCTA Research said Marcos received his highest trust rating in Class E, noting the Chief Executive’s “deep support” among ordinary Filipinos.

“The slight dip recorded is thus neither a crisis nor a repudiation, but a localized, predictable movement in the complex and dynamic landscape of Philippine politics,” OCTA Research stated.

“This resilience, even amid political turbulence, is a testament to President Marcos’ steady governance, strong economic stewardship, and effective leadership,” it added.
