President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. has ordered the immediate implementation of the priority projects and programs of his administration, Malacañang said on Friday.

In a press briefing, Presidential Communications Office Undersecretary and Palace Press Officer Claire Castro said the President is focused on prioritizing the Filipinos’ needs by expediting the implementation of key initiatives aimed at bringing progress to the country.

Castro made the statement as she stressed that Marcos has no plan to intervene in the looming impeachment trial of Vice President Sara Duterte.

Several Cabinet members of the Marcos administration met on Thursday to discuss the priority programs of the current administration that need to be implemented immediately.

The agenda of the meeting was first revealed by Transportation Secretary Vince Dizon who attended the meeting.

Castro also emphasized the importance of unity, now that the elections are over.

She said Marcos is looking forward to working with all elected officials, including the presumptive winners in the Senate race.
