CAMP GEN. PACIANO RIZAL, Sta. Cruz, Laguna – As one of the highlights of the observance of the 23rd Police Community Relations (PCR) Month this July, the Laguna Provincial Police Office spearheaded Thursday a bloodletting activity at the provincial headquarters covered court here.

Senior Supt. Kirby John B. Kraft, Laguna provincial police acting director, led various police units during the event, dubbed ‘Dugtong Alay, Dugtong Buhay’ (connecting gifts, connecting lives), in voluntarily donating blood to the Philippine Red Cross (PRC)-Laguna Chapter.

“We are focused on the provision of public safety and security; nevertheless, we extend our services through the blood donation to further enhance our partnership with the community,” Kraft said.

Supt. Zeric L. Soriano, the deputy provincial director for administration; Chief Inspector Jesson V. Bombasi, chief of the Provincial Investigation and Detection Management Branch (PIDMB); and Chief Inspector Pastor P. Castillo, chief of the Police Community Relations Branch (PCRB) were among the blood donors from various police offices, stations and police force units.

Around 73 bags of blood – with each bag containing 450 cc – were donated to the PRC-Laguna Chapter to augment the blood supply at the Blood Bank that patients can access. (Saul Pa-a/PNA)
