Isolated rain showers over most parts of PH Saturday

MANILA — Most parts of the archipelago will experience isolated rain showers on Saturday, the weather bureau said.

The easterlies affecting the eastern part of southern Luzon, Visayas and Mindanao will cause cloudy skies with scattered rains and thunderstorms over Bicol and eastern Visayas.

In northern Luzon, the northeasterly surface windflow will bring partly cloudy to cloudy skies, with isolated light rains, over Batanes and the Babuyan Group of Islands.

Localized thunderstorms will cause partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers over Metro Manila and the rest of the country, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) said.

Meanwhile, strong to gale force will blow over the northern and western sections of north Luzon. Coastal waters along these areas will be rough to very rough.

Moderate to occasionally strong winds will prevail over central Luzon and the rest of north Luzon, where coastal waters will be moderate to occasionally rough.

Elsewhere, winds will be light to moderate, with slight to moderate seas, PAGASA said. (Ma. Cristina Arayata/PNA)
