BOC warns arrest of dishonest traders of illegal medicine

The Bureau of Customs (BOC) has warned that unscrupulous entrepreneurs selling illegal medicine claimed to cure Corona Virus Disease 2019 (COVID-19) will be arrested.

According to BOC Commissioner Leonardo Guerrero, they will also strictly monitor ports for smuggled PPEs and medical supplies.

Three establishments in Manila have been raided by the BOC from March 25 to 31 where PhP 20 million worth of face masks, gloves, goggles and other medical items have been confiscated. The owner of the said establishments is now facing charges.
