DILG Sec. Año not in favor of extending ECQ

PTV News

Department of Interior and Local Government (DILG) Secretary Eduardo Año is not in favor of extending the enhanced community quarantine in Luzon.

Sec. Año points out that the economy of the Philippines will fall if the ECQ is to be extended for a few months.

The last two weeks of the ECQ are crucial in fighting the virus according to the DILG Chief.

He trusts that the Philippines can eliminate the virus if the guidelines and directives of the government are strictly followed by all Filipinos.

However, the local government secretary believes that President Duterte has the last say in lifting the ECQ in Luzon on April 14.
