DOLE: Inbound OFWs are exempted from UK travel ban

The Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) clarified that inbound Overseas Filipino Workers (OFWS) are exempted from the travel ban imposed by the United Kingdom.

The clarification was sent to DOLE through a report of the Philippine Labor Attaché in the UK. However, they still need to comply with the health protocols set by the host country.

The UK will start to limit the number of Filipinos entering its border on April 9 following the inclusion of the Philippines in its “red list” as a precaution against COVID-19.
