The Embassy of the Philippines in Moscow, Russia on Saturday, June 24, urged the Filipinos in the city to remain vigilant amid the reports of incited armed rebellion by a paramilitary group.

This after Moscow City Mayor Sergey Sobyanin announced the implementation of precautionary measures against terrorism in the city, including heightened control in traffic and crowd gatherings.

In an advisory, the Embassy asked the Filipinos to follow the rules set by the Russian government, as well as avoid going to crowded places, joining demonstrations, and posting political comments on social media.

It also advised Filipinos residing in Rostov-on-Don, Belgorod, and other places in Russia and Ukraine boundaries to inform the embassy on their situation.

Russia’s National Anti-Terrorism Committee earlier filed a criminal case against paramilitary  Wagner Group leader Yevgeny Prigozhin for calling an armed rebellion. – gb
