Meralco extends ‘no disconnection’ policy until May 14

The Manila Electric Company (Meralco) has extended its “no disconnection” policy until May 14, after the government placed NCR Plus (Metro Manila, Bulacan, Cavite, Laguna, and Rizal) under modified enhanced community quarantine (MECQ) from May 1 to 14.

According to Meralco Chief Commercial Officer Ferdinand Geluz, they aim to provide support to their customers who are having a difficult time paying their electric bills due to the existing lockdown.

Meanwhile, the electric company said it will continue its operations, including meter reading and bill delivery service. It also assured that it is prepared to respond to all complaints and emergencies 24/7.
