PRRD reiterates compliance with safety protocols

President Rodrigo R. Duterte reiterated to the public on Monday evening to follow the minimum health standards such as wearing of masks and face shields, washing of hands, and social distancing.

In his public address, President Duterte pointed out that one of the reasons for the increase in the number of Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19) cases is the public’s lack of compliance with the safety protocols set by the national government especially during the holidays.

“Wala nang ibang solusyon. It’s always the mask, the washing of the hands at social distancing. Hindi naman kailangan na magpalayo ka kaagad. But if you think that somebody is coughing even if it’s just an ordinary cold, maski ordinaryong ubo, to be on the safe side, you go a little bit farther (There’s no other solution. It’s always the mask, the washing of hands and social distancing. No need to keep your distance immediately. But if you think that somebody is coughing even if it’s just an ordinary cold, even an ordinary cough, to be on the safe side, you go a little bit farther).”

He also underscored the importance of keeping one’s hands away from his/her face to prevent the virus from entering the body.
