Sen. Go recommends creation of task force to focus on PhilHealth issues

Senator Christopher “Bong” Go has recommended that President Rodrigo R. Duterte consider the creation of a task force in investigating the issues at the Philippine Health Insurance Corporation (PhilHealth).

“The Task Force can be spearheaded by the Department of Justice with the full support of the Office of the Ombudsman, the Commission on Audit, and the Office of the Executive Secretary. The Presidential Anti-Corruption Commission may also be tapped to help out.”

He stated that through the task force, a “whole-of-government” approach will be taken in resolving the issue of corruption in the agency. The task force can also focus on other agencies that have issues on corruption.
