Solon: Make EDSA exclusive to PUVs during rush hours

A new set of proposals have been presented to address the traffic congestion in EDSA. One Lower House legislator floated the idea of banning private cars during rush hour while another suggested charging fees to motorists using the Metro’s major avenue. While the Metro Manila Development Authority (MMDA) welcomes these viable remedies, the agency admitted that thorough examination is needed, considering the fact that there are not enough alternative routes for private vehicles.
