WHO declares COVID-19 outbreak as a pandemic

The World Health Organization (WHO) has declared the Corona Virus Disease 2019 (COVID-19) outbreak a pandemic.

According to WHO director general Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus, the spread of COVID-19 globally is alarming. The WHO data show the number of cases outside China has increased thirteen times over.

The WHO continues to appeal to all nations to combat COVID-19 aggressively. The organization also asks for unity to protect all people worldwide.
