The Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) 6 (Western Visayas) will need 248 enumerators for the conduct of the “Listahanan 3” in Antique province.
Fe Gencianeo, DSWD-6 project development officer, announced this during the quarterly meeting of Antique’s Provincial Council for the Protection of Children (PCPC) and the Provincial Inter-Agency Committee against Trafficking – Violence Against Women and Children (PIACAT-VAWC) held here Wednesday.
“The ‘Listahanan 3’ will be the third information management system of the DSWD that will be conducted to identify who and where the poor are,” Gencianeo said.
The first Listahanan or National Household Targeting System (NHTS) was conducted in 2009 while the second wave was in 2015.
“We have to update the Listahanan as much as possible every four years,” she said.
Gencianeo said that the Listahanan guides the local government units (LGUs) in their delivery of social services and for social protection.
“In Antique, under the Listahanan 2015, 122,290 households were assessed,” she said.
Of the figure, 45,126 households were identified as poor.
The top five municipalities in terms of the number of poor households are Sibalom with 4,579; San Remigio with 4,199; Hamtic with 3,433; Culasi with 3,267; and Bugasong with 3,200 households.
“Sibalom is considered the biggest municipality in Antique. That is why there’s a big number of households assessed,” she said.
Meanwhile, the enumerators will have the responsibility of conducting the house-to-house survey.
“Interested individuals may now send their application as enumerators to the DSWD,” she said.
Applicants should have a minimum of two years in college or have finished a two-year course to qualify.
She said that aside from the enumerators, there would be 50 area supervisors who would be hired for Antique for two months of work.
