Makati City Police nabs 2 unlicensed Chinese doctors

Two Chinese doctors were arrested by the Makati City Police for illegal operation of a medical facility.

According to the Makati City Police, the medical facility has been operating without a permit and only treating Chinese nationals. The two Chinese doctors also have no licenses.

“Talagang very dangerous ‘yun kasi hindi lamang ‘yung mga pasyente na nagpapadoktor doon o sila-sila din nagkakahawaan dahil hindi nila nasusunod yung protocol na gusto ng Department of Health. (It is very dangerous since they might be spreading the virus to each other because they do not follow the protocols of the Department of Health)” Chief of Investigation and Detective Management PMaj. Gideon Ines pointed out.

The 4 patients who were inside the facility were brought to the Makati Health Department. The police raised the possibility that there are still several medical facilities operating in Metro Manila.

“Nakikita namin ‘yung resibo ng clinic nila, mga delivery receipt, may pinagkukunan silang malaking bodega sa bandang Binondo (We saw the receipt of their clinic, the delivery receipts. They have a supplier in Binondo.)”

Meanwhile, the Bureau of Immigration (BI) has coordinated with the Makati City Police to know the details on the two Chinese doctors. – Report from Bea Bernardo
