Malacañang respects the decision of Malaysia to ban the entry of Filipinos in its country due to the high number of cases of Corona Virus Disease 2019 (COVID-19) in the Philippines.
According to Presidential Spokesperson Harry Roque, it is the right of Malaysia to declare such decisions for their own safety.
“Well, that’s a sovereign decision, who will be allowed to enter one’s territory. I’m not saying we’re happy, I’m saying na we regret the decision but we respect the sovereign decision of Malaysia.”
