By Myris Lee

Incoming Executive Secretary Atty. Vic Rodriguez said President-elect Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr.’s camp had no intention to exclude other news outlets from Marcos’ first press interview aired Thursday, May 26.

The first press briefing only included GMA, NET25, and SMNI.

Rodriguez explained that the press briefing was supposed to be a one-on-one interview as requested by the three networks during the campaign period.

“If you may have noticed, we did not do it ng one-on-one. We want to be fair at pinagsabay-sabay na natin iyong tatlong networks na noon pa man ay nagpahayag ng kanilang interes na magkaroon ng one-on-one interview kung sakaling papalarin at mananalo si then candidate, now President-elect, Bongbong Marcos Jr.,” he said.

In the interview, Marcos elaborated his plans for the economy and announced the names of his incoming Cabinet members.

Rodriguez thanked the media who covered the Marcos campaign, and introduced incoming Communications Secretary Trixie Angeles who will soon be conducting media briefings. – ag
