Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR) officials and employees welcomed and congratulated Secretary Ma. Antonia “Toni” Yulo-Loyzaga on Thursday, July 21, as the new chief of the department.

Undersecretary Ernesto Adobo led the turnover ceremony by handing over the flag to the newly installed secretary.

Loyzaga urged her fellow public servants to “serve with excellence and virtue” while upholding the values of the department.

“We want a stewardship that is democratic where stakeholders can participate, where there is transparency in the Department’s plans and decisions,” Yulo-Loyzaga said.
