100 people in Sulu hit with alleged food poisoning

At least 100 people, mostly children, suffered from alleged food poisoning in Jolo, Sulu after experiencing dizziness and vomiting at a scout camp on Sunday, Feb. 26. 

The victims were brought to the Integrated Provincial Health Office and Sulu Sanitarium in Jolo.

The Philippine Army said the victims are already in good condition, noting that 88 out of 100 patients have already been out of the hospital.

Food samples have also been given to the provincial health office for investigation.

The food snacks were prepared by the 8th Field Artillery Battalion of the Philippine Army’s Army Artillery Regiment. -Report from Bea Bernardo/KC – gb
