Australia, magbibigay ng P480.2-M para sa COVID-19 vaccines

Halos kalahating bilyong piso ang nakatakdang ibahagi ng bansang Australia sa Pilipinas para sa pagbili ng bakuna kontra COVID-19, ayon sa embahada ng Australia.

Sa isang tweet, ibinalita ni Australian Ambassador to the Philippines Steven Robinson na bibigyan nila ang bansa na AUD13.72-M o P480.2-M.

“This will make an important contribution to meeting the country’s vaccine needs in 2021,” ani Robinson.

 

Ito ay isang panibagong commitment ng bansang Australia matapos magbahagi ng AUD130 million sa COVAX Facility. 

Una na ring nagbahagi ang Australia ng AUD7.52-M bilang bahagi ng kanilang vaccine response plan kasama ang United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF) at World Health Organization (WHO).

 

Sa kasalukuyan, mayroon nang 14,205,870 doses ng bakuna kontra COVID-19 ang Pilipinas, kung saan 7,563,241 na ang naiturok sa mga pangunahing benepisyaryo. – Ulat ni Naomi Tiburcio/AG-rir
