Tropical Depression Florita has intensified into a tropical storm with light to moderate with at times heavy rains expected over areas in Northern Luzon, Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) said.
Tropical Cyclone Wind Signal (TCWS) No. 1 has been hoisted over several portions of Aurora, Isabela, and Cagayan with expected light to moderate with at times heavy rains on Monday morning, Aug. 21, as Tropical Depression “Florita” intensifies.
A low pressure area (LPA) inside the Philippine Area of Responsibility (PAR) has developed into tropical depression, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) said on Sunday, Aug. 21.
A low-pressure area (LPA) was spotted at 930 km. east of central Luzon but has a small chance of developing into a storm over the weekend, the weather bureau said Saturday, Aug. 20.
Most areas in the country will experience isolated rain showers caused by localized thunderstorms and the southwest monsoon (habagat), the weather bureau said Wednesday.
The southwest monsoon or “habagat” may still affect most parts of the country particularly western sections of southern Luzon, Visayas and Mindanao, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) said on Sunday.
