GSIS tells Davao pensioners to revalidate personal info

By Digna Banzon/PNA

DAVAO CITY — The Government Service Insurance System (GSIS) has reminded local pensioners to update their personal information through the agency’s Annual Pensioners’ Information Revalidation (APIR) system.

GSIS Davao branch manager Deity Manampan said that failure to do so will mean suspension of pensions until the recipient’s information is updated not later than April 30, 2019.

Manampan explained that the APIR system eliminates the issuance of pensions to non-existent pensioners.

He also bared that starting Dec. 1, GSIS deposited the cash gifts of pensioners to their accounts. Davao Region has about 5,000 pensioners.

For other services, Manampan said the GSIS offers condonation to housing loan programs only.

Under this program, all penalties and surcharges are waived for those who will pay in full their housing loan obligation with the government insurance company.

He said active or inactive members and non-members with deed of conditional sale or real estate loan accounts in arrears or in default are qualified to apply.
